Are you holding a Idea Mobile (earlier Spice in Bangalore) pre-paid mobile phone and looking for full talk-time offers? Although Idea has a self service option (dial *121#), but there are chances that you may not get the kind of help you are looking for! Recently, I wanted to e-recharge my Idea pre-paid mobile and was looking for Full Talk Time offers, but all the results in *121# gave me the full talk time offers with limited validity. Then I sent an email asking for details to Idea Customer care (firstname.lastname@example.org). After sending the mail, I got a mail deliver failure with Disk Quota full! In the Gmail age, isn’t it funny to see such undelivered mails! Or, are there so many complaints/mails to Customer Care, which made the Customer Care mailbox full? LOL!
Another Undelivered mail comes after few hours:
After 2 days, I get a mail response – looks like the mail goes to a Group of people and someone replies to it. The customer care pulls the required information in this Excel (Prepaid Products Single Sheeter Nov’10 new.xls) format. Notice the filename – this is latest
Some suggestions for a better Customer Service, so that both Customer & Support team can get some peace of mind:
- Keep the details at central location. Do not replicate information.
- The best place would be to provide precise details via Self-Help (*121#).
- Make use of the Website or Social Networking to help customers in timely manner.
